How-To Prolong the Life of Your Mattress with Therapedic

You know you’re an old married couple when you get excited about new bedding and a mattress topper!😂  About this time of the year I am completely exhausted mentally and physically. Going to bed has never been more exciting. So when Therapedic reached out asking if I would review some of their new products offered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond I jumped at the chance. Here is what I received in exchange for my review. The Therapedic 3” Deluxe Quilted Memory Foam Mattress Topper, a king size set of Therapedic 450-thread Count Sheet Set  and 2 sets of the Carlisle Rod Pocket Window Curtain Panel. Now THIS was a Christmas gift to get excited over.

Merry Christmas to Us

Ross and I do not exchange gifts so seeing UPS pull up and drop off a huge box was a treat. These past few weeks we have been sleeping like babies.  It might have to do with our new Carlisle Rod Pocket Blackout Window Curtain Panels. For years, I have had flimsy white cotton panels hanging in our master bedroom.  Every morning the sun would shine right through and wake us up at the crack of dawn… even on the weekends.  UGH!

 Do Blackout Curtains Really Work?

The answer is YES! I always have clients request black out curtains but I never really knew how well they worked until we put ours up. The soft velvety fabric and thermal lining helps insulate the room while still looking luxurious. The blackout lining keep the unwanted light out so well that I need an alarm clock ⏰ to get up on time! These beauties come in 6 colors and 4 lengths.  I chose white for a clean crisp look.

How-to Prolong the Life of Your Mattress

Studies show that we spend more than 1/3 of our lives in bed so a supportive mattress is important. Well, after investing in a quality pillow top mattress 10 years ago it’s time to start thinking about a replacement. Luckily, until then our new 3 inch memory foam mattress topper will help us sleep in comfort. And quite honestly it feels like a new mattress all together!

Rolling out the Memory Foam Topper

It arrived tightly packaged and once we opened the plastic cover we just rolled it on out. Immediately the topper began to decompress. The instructions told us to lay it flat for 48 hours until the topper returned to it’s original form. We also learned the zipper lined quilted soft cover is easily removable for washing. A good nights sleep was looking even more promising now!

Quality Sheets Make A Difference

We also treated ourselves to 450-thread count cotton sheets. The sheets are so fabulously made and oh so soft and cozy. The wide elastic band keeps the fitted sheets snug on any mattress. The helpful tab labels tell you top, bottom, and sides of the bed. A nice feature when it comes to making a king size bed.  The top sheet even has buttons to connect to the fitted sheet. Absolutely genius!

Decorating A Bedroom For Christmas

In the past I have never decorated our bedroom for Christmas. Just last year we put up a tree and it became my favorite place especially at night. This year I added a simple pine garland to our upholstered headboard. A few glass turquoise and blue bulbs add just the right amount of color.

On our nightstands I added simple gold trees that shimmer when the Christmas tree lights are on. With the days shorter retiring to our bedroom has never been more inviting and relaxing. Now with the help of Therapedic our room is finally a comfortable retreat. And Ross who never really comments on any of my decor additions loves the warm appearance and appreciates the new comforts of our bedroom.

I’m off to wrap gifts!!! 😘 Thank you for choosing to subscribe to the blog. Next year we have some really exciting news to share. Just last week I signed a lease on a new studio space in Fairport, New York. We look forward to giving classes, seminars, and hosting gatherings in this new studio. Stay tuned on Instagram, Facebook and of course here on the blog for all the details.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Much love, Amie
