Picking paint colors is tricky! Here are a few tips for making the right color choice first!

Never put one coat of small paint swatches in the middle of the wall. Instead, paint a large poster board and move it around the room to see in different light.

find your inspiration. It may be a cool tile, fabric or countertop you love.

Start with a trim color and make sure all your wall colors work well with the trim.

Let there be light...

You might want a bright white....

... or a dark and moody colors. Powder rooms are a great spot to add dramatic colors!

Consider color for cabinetry instead of walls...

Tone on tone

Maybe you love a monochromatic color scheme. 

Go darker when choosing exterior colors. The sun's reflection makes it lighter to the eye.

Colors get darker inside.  Go a shade lighter than you want when choosing interior colors.
