Christmas Decorating ideas
Happy Friday Friends! Ive been feverishly decorating the house for parties, gatherings, birthdays and clients meetings. My house has been a revolving door lately and to be honest I couldn’t be happier. A lot of my visitors have been asking about some of my new Christmas treasures that I have added to the repertoire so I thought that I’d share. A unique online store that had the most wonderful blend of rustic, farmhouse and a touch of bohemian chic. Just up my alley right?
We have a very small front entrance so the Rustic Butler’s Helper is so efficient and is the first thing that greets guests. This wood and pipe shelf with a coat and hat rack fits just perfectly. If the coats and hats don’t make it into the closet then the stop here. If anyone is missing their keys I always say “Check the shelf!“ No elf on this shelf just Santa.
Fireplace hearth Treasures
Each year I like to add a fun pillow on my two chairs that flank the fireplace. This year this regal reindeer made the list. We call him the Admiral. A super soft and colorful hand stitched pillow with loads of detail. The Admirals colors and whimsical style go great with the fireplace and our silly stockings…. and don’t you just love his heart nose? The Christmas treasures were piling up!
Christmas Dinner table ideas
As most of you know I have a very large family and we were always adding card tables to my prior dining table that sat 6. So to solve that problem I made this reclaimed wood table with my father. I love the distressed painted red top so much that I hate to cover it up with a tablecloth. Tonight I plan to have some friends over for a simple pot luck dinner. A centerpiece with greens, wax dipped pine cones, and metal moose add to the rustic charm of the table decor.
I brought out these Christmas treasures, my favorite ski plates and draped these super soft and oversized cotton towels to use as napkins in between the dinner and salad plate. These Striped Red cotton Towels are perfect for the kitchen too. They come in sets of 6 so I ordered two sets. After all you can never have too many farmhouse striped towels. So much better than paper napkins! If your looking for more Christmas dinner table inspiration I set the table with a mix of old and new for a fresh take on Christmas dinner.
Happy Holidays Friends and I hope that your December is filled with joy, happiness and loads of treasures! xoxo Amie
