Sometimes the best thing you can do for your home Sometimes the best thing you can do for your home is pause and live in it. Before we went full force into the landscaping, we needed a little time to enjoy the inside. It’s funny how living in a home changes your priorities. What you thought belonged at the top of the list sometimes makes its way down when you discover how you actually use your spaces and what matters most. We wanted the outside to feel just as thoughtful as the inside, and that has taken time, patience, and the help of our amazing teams. Landscaping starts soon, and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been planning! 
What’s one thing you thought you HAD to have in your home, only to change your mind after moving in?
When I was pregnant with Chloe, my mom said someth When I was pregnant with Chloe, my mom said something to me that I have never forgotten:
“You know how much you love that dog of yours? Multiply that by 1,000, and that is the love you will have for your daughter.”
My mom was right. 
And somehow, all these years later, that love just keeps multiplying.
So many of you have watched Chloe grow up right here with me. From her nursery and bedroom makeovers, to being my very patient model for countless projects, to that viral college dorm room…and now, somehow, she’s a HOMEOWNER! 🏡
It’s hard to believe we’ve gone from decorating her nursery to dreaming about what she’ll do with a home of her very own.
Thank you for following along, cheering her on and watching our family grow through all these chapters.

Fresh tomato leaf, basil, spearmint and green amber. It smells like you just walked through the garden, and I LOVE it.

Lately, life has felt very full. Work, projects, f Lately, life has felt very full. Work, projects, family, places to be and always something that needs my attention.
And then there’s this place.  The minute I’m here, everything feels a little better. I reset. No matter how busy life gets, this view has a way of reminding me to stop and enjoy what we worked so hard to create.  Saying goodbye is never easy, even when it’s only for a few days. One last look at the lake, close the door, back to reality.
