This recent open floor plan model may be my favorite! It’s not very often that you get to design your dream home let alone an entire subdivision!  Several years ago, I teamed up with Rochester, New York based Morrell Builders to help design their first Homearama in Victor, New York.  Since then, I’ve been working the Morrell team picking out exterior color selections, interior design elements, and furnishing their model homes from top to bottom.  I’m one lucky lady

I’d like to introduce to you Morrell Builder’s newest and most impressive Greenpoint Trail. Greenpoint Trail is located in Pittsford, New York.  Greenpoint nestles up next to the former LPGA Locust Hill Country Club. These townhomes have two open floor plan units, the Santenay which is 1900 ft.² and the Greenpoint which is 2200 ft.².  not including the finished lower level.

As you can see from this picture building started in the dead of Winter. It was cold but each week I would head over to the models and document the progress.

If you follow along with me on Instagram you are very familiar with these two open floor plan homes. Every Monday I would share images and give little snippets of each day’s projects and decision making.

I even let you vote. Sometimes making every single decision is exhausting. Thank you all so much for all your input, encouraging words and in general being the best cheerleaders ever.

In future posts I will be revealing all my resources, colors and methods behind my madness but today I’d like to introduce you to my vision boards for the furnishings. I knew that these models needed class, sophistication and state of the art mechanics. I was channeling my inner Hampton’s Style. A neutral, clean transitional style with touches of rustic elegance and loads of bling.

I turned to Raymour & Flanigan for the furniture. If you think you know Raymour & Flanigan think again. As a brand ambassador for the large furniture company I spend a great deal of time on their website and in their showrooms. Every day they are adding new pieces to their site and they have thousands of items that ship for free. I have gathered all of my favorites and furnished both models with these exceptional furnishings. Most of these items are new and/or are online only. You won’t believe how beautiful they are!

Here are the furniture vision boards that I proposed to Morrell. Creating a vision board is a wonderful way to show a client a cohesive look of how the home will look.
