Good design isn’t about perfection—it’s abou Good design isn’t about perfection—it’s about creating a home that supports real life.
Our little 1,100 sq ft pied-à-terre has to be 100% functional.
When I found the Valborg Glass Cabinet from @hernest_official , I knew it was the missing piece. It instantly elevated the room, but more importantly, it gave us a place to truly live—to store, style, entertain, and actually enjoy our space.
The clean lines, soft glass details, and rich finish make it feel custom, while the storage makes hosting effortless. From wine nights (okay, book club 😉) with friends to quiet evenings at home, this cabinet has turned our former chaotic cabinet into organized beauty. Everyone comments the second they see it.

POV: It’s nice, but not my style. Here’s my fa POV: It’s nice, but not my style. Here’s my favorite sustainable kitchen remodel to date! This homeowner was dreaming of her white kitchen with a big entertaining island but there was a budget. And that’s OK because I was here to answer the call! We were used every single cabinet in the old kitchen, kept every single appliance, even reused some of the countertop slabs. We of course added new white cabinetry and stained island cabs. I had my painter paint the wood cabinets, and you cannot tell the difference! We added accents of champagne bronze, and now this home looks like it was meant to look this. It’s definitely an entertainers home. If you’re looking to update your kitchen and reuse what you have- saved this post for future renovation ideas. 💡🛠️.

Last May this beauty hit the market — yes that h Last May this beauty hit the market — yes that house with the elevator and indoor pickelball court — and while buyers were blown away, many hesitated with the original 1960s layout. Back then, kitchens were tucked away and dining rooms were oversized… not exactly how we live or entertain today.

So I started with a few simple sketches to show what was possible, taking down walls, opening the flow, and reimagining how the space could live and entertain.

Those renderings didn’t just help sell the home — they helped the buyers see what was possible. And now, keeping most of the original cabinets, some counters, and all the appliances, we’ve transformed it into a wide-open, dream-worthy kitchen made for entertaining, cooking, and memory-making.

Proof that great design isn’t always about starting over… it’s about seeing potential.

My first closing of 2026. A “shabby little fishi My first closing of 2026. A “shabby little fishing camp” on the surface but a lifetime of sunsets, memories, and legacy beneath it. I knew this one was special because we’ve walked this exact path ourselves and I can promise you, what my clients just stepped into will become one of the best decisions of their lives. You can renovate a home… but you can’t renovate a view. And they’re not making any more waterfront. Congratulations to my amazing clients on securing a piece of the Finger Lakes that will only grow more meaningful (and more valuable) with time. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your story.
More to come…
