There’s nothing I love more than discovering trends in furniture and home decor. So when my good friends at Raymour & Flanigan came to me asking for my monthly collection of favorites finds I jumped on board. Each month I will be sharing a theme. For January, it’s all about Getting Cozy.
GET COZY with new furniture
I’m not sure what the weather is like in your neck of the woods but in Upstate NY we are knee deep in snow and gray skies. I always look to add color and warmth to our home during this frigid month. Time for some new cozy furniture! For that reason, I have choose rich moody warm fabrics. Velvets & faux furs have been trending for a while now and I can’t think of any better fabrics that say “Get Cozy.”
Staying in and entertaining at home has never been more enticing. Dress up your dining room with the sleek Sicily Sideboard or the luggage inspire Bierman Bar Cabinet with extra wine storage. These stylish entertaining pieces are loaded with storage and can house more than your bar essentials.
MOOD LIGHTING
With the shortened Winter days we can’t forget about lighting! I fell in love with the Harmony Table Lamp from Kathy Ireland Home. I have always been a fan of gold and now it is everywhere. Mixing metals is no longer taboo and gold is popping up all over in all forms of home decor. I’ve featured gold paired with velvets and and blacks. It’s rich and luxurious.
*On a sidenote, I met Kathy Ireland last January at the Americasmart Gift Show. She is such an inspiration. On top of being one of America’s most successful businesswomen, she is kind and gives to many charities. She took the time out to talk to me about her collections and answer my questions. This makes me love her products even more…
Here are the Pierced Table Lanterns that ooze warmth with their gold interiors. There’s not even a candle in these three and look how the glow! These are the perfect accents to your cozy furniture.
