I just don’t have the heart to tell Bo this new I just don’t have the heart to tell Bo this new bedding from @nautica … isn’t his 🥹 He’s fully claimed the guest room with a front row seat to all the neighborhood action, with people coming and going, trains rolling by, and of course that black and white cat 🐈‍⬛ who knows exactly how to push his buttons. New wallpaper, fresh bedding, and the perfect little lookout spot… honestly, I get why he loves this room now. I’ll let him enjoy it a little longer 🤍 Do you allow your pets on the bed? This guy lives for a cozy spot… and those sad eyes get me every time.

Torrential rains in the Finger Lakes this week…i Torrential rains in the Finger Lakes this week…it was a lot. Too much rain for too long, with heavy winds and streams and creeks that just couldn’t keep up—everything flowing straight into the lake, debris and mud galore. And the lake rose fast way over our break wall. The waves pulled back, taking everything with them, including a massive tree (easily 30 feet) that slammed into our wall and brought it down. We’ve lost about 8–10 feet of shoreline. (Check out my stories before they expire) Trying to stay grounded and happy no one was hurt. I’m so grateful for my husband and our incredible neighbors who showed up immediately, helping us piece things together and Band-Aid what we could. Today, it’s eerily calm, like nothing ever happened, but we’re bracing for more rain tomorrow. Mother Nature is no joke. 🤍 #memehillstudio #cayuga #cayugalake #flx
I really thought this peel + stick wallpaper was g I really thought this peel + stick wallpaper was going to be a “done in an hour” situation… 😂 At first I was going to play it safe with an accent wall, but if you know me, I’m an all in or not at all girl… so here we are 💁🏻‍♀️ And honestly? Love the dark denim grasscloth pattern on ALL walls. 💙
If you’re thinking about trying it, here’s what I learned about removable wallpaper 👇
1. Test it on a simple wall first (no windows or doors = your best friend)
2. Skip heavy pattern repeats if you’re a beginner — solids/textures are WAY more forgiving
3. Start in the middle + use a level to draw a perfect vertical line, then work right and left
4. Do NOT trust that your walls, corners, or doorways are straight (they’re not 😅)
5. Invest in a really sharp blade — it matters more than you think
6. Measure twice, cut once (for real)
7. Don’t do final/detail cuts until the end — you may need to shift things
8. Order extra rolls — dye lots can vary and you can always return unused
9. Give yourself some grace… it might not be perfect, but YOU DID IT!
10. Line dresser drawers, cabinet shelves, stair risers, cover old books etc with leftovers.
Final reveal of the lake guest room coming Saturday and I can’t wait to show you how this all came together 🤍 Comment DENIM and I will send you the link to this paper and my other affordable go-to peel and stick removable papers.

SPRING BEDDING SALE ☀️I’ve realized the b SPRING BEDDING SALE ☀️I’ve realized the biggest upgrade you can make isn’t always color or pattern…it’s quality. These Tommy Bahama sheets are 100% cotton and you can feel the difference the second you get into bed. Crisp, breathable, and that perfect hotel-like comfort. I kept everything light and simple in my daughter’s room, but this set still brings in just enough personality without feeling overdone. The quilt has a subtle palm pattern with a soft wave stitch that feels right at home at the lake…and the sheets… the little lawn chairs sold me.
If you’ve been buying “just okay” bedding… this is your sign to upgrade. Comment “Tommy” for the direct link and see more in my stories. My friends at @tbahama truly do bedding right! worth taking a look at everything they offer.
Next up… the guest room. 👀#memehillstudio #cayugalake #featherandvine #tommybahamahome #tommybahamastyle
After a year of building (and yes… going past bo After a year of building (and yes… going past both our timeline and budget 🙃), painting the entire lake house white ended up being one of the best decisions we made. It created a calm, clean backdrop that lets the light and the views truly shine, and after a project this big, I was able to contemplate every addition without rushing.
But trust me… I haven’t abandoned my “life is too short for white walls” mindset. I’m just taking a slower, more layered approach this time bringing in color through wallpaper, rugs, art, bedding and collected pieces that make each space feel intentional and lived in.
I was probably a little scarred from living 5 years in a DC basement apartment with two windows 😅 So light and bright is my jam now and I’m perfectly good with that.
Stay tuned… the color is coming #memehillstudio
We don’t take sunny days for granted around here We don’t take sunny days for granted around here ☀️
After months of a long New York winter, the sun finally decided to show its face and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been running nonstop with work and not feeling my best, so I snuck away to the lake for a little reset.
And today, we had a photo shoot at the house, and it has honestly never looked better. The light was absolute perfection, and somehow the rain held off just long enough for them to finish. I played Cinderella this morning, cleaning the whole place, setting up the porch furniture, and turning on all the lights and then the doorbell rang. Not a minute to spare. One of those days where everything just falls into place. 🧘🏼‍♀️
Can’t wait to share more once I get the okay
