updating our

FRONT FOYER

from frumpy to fab

lost in the 60's

Our front foyer was lost in the 60's but not in a hip groovy way.

DEMO DAY

Gone went the vintage metal railing. Next up? The oversized chandelier and dark and dreary wood door.

what's black and white and gorgeous all over?

It was time for me to paint! I used bright white for the spindles and Tricorn Black for the rail and newel posts

Updating light fixtures makes a HUGE change. We swapped out the oversized drum shade with an airy modern farmhouse lantern.

board & baton

To break up the tall entry wall we added inexpensive board and baton and painted it white like the trim.

super crisp and fresh looking

...and how about that new front door?

First impressions

Interior Designer Amie Freling felt like the shoemaker's daughter without any shoes. She was like a little kid on Christmas morning when her front foyer was finally renovated. AHHHH!
